A hypothetical question

I have heard many saying that opposite poles attract each other. It suits not only for magnets but even for human beings. Whoever it is a friend or a love we always tend to like those who are completely contrast to our characters.

I have seen this even in my own house. My parents are like fire and ice. While my dad is a very practical and broad minded guy, my mom is very religious, always concerned about our welfare and emotional. She always shows through some means that she likes us a lot. But my dad's concept is a little different. He says that it's not like only when we shower our love people will come to know we like them. I wondered.

They are just like mice and a cat. I always ask my dad 'How are you managing your partner who is completely opposite to your character? Wont it lead to many misunderstandings?'. My dad says 'You wont understand these things. We can have an amazing life. Of course there will be misunderstandings but the bond will become stronger after every such small and sweet fight'.

It sounded very odd to me, so I asked everybody about their opinions on this. Each and every person told me the same thing. Yet I realised only when I was bit impressed by a guy who was completely opposite to my personality. Our life will actually be interesting when our partner is contrast to us. Life would go smooth too when we are of the same poles, there will be a good understanding but they both will be having the same choice, same taste and same character, which would bore after a point of time. So it sounded good to me. Since yesterday was my parent's wedding anniversary, let me show you a pic of this cute couple.

The two rulers- Mind and Heart

Some say they are practical and some say they are emotional well, I say 'who knows?'.
We are the agricultural land where the crops (the characters) are grown by the heart, and the crops are made to grow better by sprinkling fertiliser over it by the mind.

Every land has some special properties due to which only some particular crops could be grown in it. and only special fertilisers can be used to enrich the quality of the crop. Similarly every person has some special character which are stamped in them when they are born. When we were young, we didn't know what was good and bad.

Our immature heart at that time chooses some special qualities which they feel as good. Though it may feel bad to others. And that quality keeps on growing bit by bit as we grow physically. There comes a stage where our mind comes into play. Its tells us what is good and bad with the little experience it has which was sowed in us without our knowledge.

It may come and go when we think of a conclusion but we don't take it seriously because our heart knows our psychology and gives a decision which are always wanted by us and defeats the mind. When at one period we realise that a decision taken by us (by heart) went wrong.

Our mind slowly tells ' I told you, but you didn't listen'. This keeps on repeating for a while and at one period you will become a worshipper of mind. I'm not telling not to follow your heart. I'm just saying that it just gives you temporary pleasure. The more practical you are you will come to understand life very well.
